The Flats are flat and tight; the Slopes are steep. Both are doable — the difference is where we put the van.
South Side Flats is a narrow grid of permit streets running back from East Carson, and parking is the whole problem. Mornings are much easier than evenings, and the blocks a few streets back from Carson are easier than the ones on it. Given a spot, the job itself is straightforward.
The Slopes are a different question. Some of those streets are genuinely too steep and too narrow to work on safely, and a car that sits at an angle cannot be polished properly. If you are on the Slopes, we will usually suggest meeting at a flat spot nearby rather than promising something that does not work.
Where we park in South Side
In the Flats, a morning slot on a permit block a street or two off Carson. On the Slopes, tell us the street and we will say honestly whether we can work there or suggest somewhere flat close by.
